Public Installations

"Royal Oak Roots" (2020)  created for Royal Oak's new City Hall in collaboration with fellow Artist Laureate, Marcia Hovland. Depicts early innovators, makers and movers  and businesses that helped to put the city on the map as well as a variety of architecture,  important community organizations and flora and fauna of the region.

Installed December 2020. 5' X 8'

Angell Elementary School, Berkley, MI (2019) collaboration with art teacher Judy Garlock and her students. 

The students created individual drawings about what they love about their school and the imagery was used in the design. Both Laurie and the children sculpted and glazed individual clay work.

Rainbow Man, a wall-size installation composed of several individual mosaics brightens the pediatric waiting room of the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI.

Through the Healing Arts program at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Laurie had the opportunity to collaborate with doctors and nurses, creating three areas in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit.
