Inspiration

My  inspiration comes from the natural world around me, from the textures and colors of the earth to the ephemeral beauty found in the sky. From large-scale, site specific mosaics to tiny tea bowls, color, and a personal vocabulary of symbols and stylized figures are utilized to tell stories. My personal narrative is frequently expressed with themes of protection, vulnerability and metamorphosis. The results create pieces that are both timeless and modern.
